Portraits of Movie Stars Vending Cards
   Peerless Weighing & Vending - 1940s-1950s

Notes:  Several distinct series of weight-machine cards bearing publicity photos of 
movie artists were produced by Peerless, at approximately 1-1/8" x 2-1/8", with 
photos on fronts and fortunes printed on card backs (often found with the weight 
and date stamped by the weighing machine). Cards under the Peerless name were 
marked "Engrav-o-tints" or "Printicks" but a large variety of merchants customized 
them with their names and logos. At least one more series, with numbered cards, 
was produced. Thanks to Walt Meder Jr. for the update!
