Desert Storm Victory in the Gulf Topps - 1991 (Not Issued)
Notes: I don't usually have information on materials that were never offered for regular consumer sales, but "test sets" may show up and items from production may show up in the aftermarket. Information below was kindly provided by Michael Beam, thanks! This is the second Desert Storm series planned by Topps, but after pre-production the company scrapped the design and decided to continue with a format and numbering similar to the first series. Cards are distinguished by an Eagle logo (without shield) in the corner, with text "Victory in the Gulf." Two blank-backed uncut sheets, with artist's notes on the front were auctioned by the Topps Vault. One of them was used to identify card numbers for the first half (cards 1-66). We cannot provide a definitive checklist for the second half of the 132-card planned set, but more than half of the titles have been seen individually.
No. Title Cards 1 through 66 Numbering was originally based on placements in the uncut sheet, which had a blank back. Those that were confirmed by complete physical cards are noted with a "+". 1 + President George Bush 2 + Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney 3 General Colin Powell 4 + General Norman Schwarzkopf 5 Lt.
