Indian Gum Goudey - 1933-1940
Notes: These cards were issued in "waves" over 1933 through 1940, with different markings on card backs designating them as different xx in "a set of xx". The set-of-48 cards were found with either red panels below the image (48R) or blue panels (48B), the set-of-312 cards were found with scenic (312) or white backgrounds (312W), and some of the set-of-192 were printed with "More cards" at the end of the line describing the set size (192M) or with the two words split across two lines (192). With these variants, many collectors treat the series as a 432-card collection. In each wave, cards were skip-numbered. American Card Catalog reference is R73. Scans are posted at the Vintage Non-Sports Cards gallery.
